In partnership with the New York State Department of Transportation the City will undertake a $30 million project to rebuild Rt. 363 from Frederick Street to South Washington Street downtown. The project will be in a transformative boulevard concept bringing the road to grade and giving it back to the community. It will open access to the Susquehanna River in downtown and reconnect the neighborhoods and business districts.
Over the past two years the City has invested $4.3 million in bridge restorations leading from the City’s downtown to the South Side. These restorations improve the sustainability and enhance the beauty of two waterfront treasures.
